Krum Kake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cardamom (optional)

Instructions

  • Cream butter and sugar. Add egs, one at at time and beat well after each addition. Add flour and milk alternately. Bake in a Krum Kake iron until golden brown. Remove from iron - roll on stick and cool.

  • I got this recipe from my Nana, who originally got the recipe from my Papa’s grandmother.

  • Have burner between low and high - depending on the stove. Turn iron after about 1 minute and repeat until golden brow. Remove quickly and roll
