Hash Browns

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (Russet, etc.)
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika

Instructions

  • Boil potatoes in a large pot al dente. About 15 minutes or so.
  • Let potatoes cool.
  • Grate potatoes into thin hash brown strips. This can be done using a cheese grater, mandoline, or very carefully with a knife.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cut potatoes.
  • Cook until crispy.

Notes

Butter the skillet really well, even adding more butter between pancakes.
